(旅遊)曼谷繁華再現迎遊客

泰國首都似乎已經忘記去年的洪水，準備好要迎接遊客了。曼谷看來已經重建其聲譽，成為一個值得前往參觀的安全、有趣而隨和之地。

三個月前－十月份，曼谷幾乎就要被大海給吞沒。從泰國中部往南移的強勁季風雨，是造成災難的主因。歐洲和亞洲政府隨後發出了旅泰警告。11、12月洪水高峰期間，國際入境下降了四十萬人次。

現在遊客再次搭著客滿的渡輪從大皇宮到鄭王廟，這是一間十分受歡迎的河邊寺廟。亞洲最大市場之一的札都甲重新營業，遊客和當地居民都在這裡的數千個攤位之間徘徊穿梭。從札都甲到市中心購物區暹羅廣場的天空列車也擠滿了當地居民和遊客。

The Thai capital seems to have forgotten last years floods and is ready for the tourists. Bangkok appears to have regained its reputation as a safe, fun, and easy-going place to visit.

Three months ago V in October, Bangkok was about to be swallowed up by the sea. The heavy monsoon rains flowing southwards from central Thailand were what had caused the trouble. European and Asian governments sent out warnings against visits to Bangkok. International arrivals dropped by 400,000 during peak period of the flood in November and December.

Tourists are again moving on full ferries from the Royal Palace to Wat Arun, a popular riverside temple. Chatuchak, one of the largest markets in Asia, is back doing business with both tourists and locals wandering among its thousands of stalls. The sky-trains from Chatuchak to Siam Square, the citys downtown shopping area, are also packed with locals and tourists.

Stuart Walker, a tourist from Reading, UK, was pleasantly surprised, We saw a few traces of the damage and there were sandbags everywhere, but the city is back to normal. So pack your bags and make Bangkok your new years destination.
