One of the sons of the former great basketball player Michael Jordan, Jeff Jordan, has decided to leave the sport he and his family have enjoyed for so long, citing personal reasons for quitting. Jeff, the oldest of Michael Jordans sons, has not been the shining star many expected, and has not succeeded in college basketball as much as anticipated. He and his brother, Marcus Jordan, both made few sensations during their playing time.It appears Jeff has decided to pursue other interests besides following in his fathers footsteps.

Dialogue Example:

(Jeff Jordan Quits Basketball) Melissa and Josh are watching a basketball game on TV and see a highlight at the bottom of the screen about Jeff Jordan. Lets listen to their conversation.

Josh: Did that say Michael Jordans son quit basketball?

Melissa: I think it did. Somewhat surprising, considering how embedded the game is in their family.

Josh: Well, just because your parent can excel in something doesn mean you can, too. Maybe he just prefers another sport.

Melissa: Or something else entirely. He is his own person, and must be pretty smart, considering he got a scholarship to Central Florida University.

Josh: True. I remember my dad telling me how his father wanted him to become a carpenter, like he was. Even though he was very good and had a successful business, it just wasn the right fit for him.

Melissa: And, now look at your father. He works for an international trading company and is doing very well!

Josh: Just goes to show that everyones an individual and can choose their own path.

Melissa: Exactly! I hope Jeff does well in whatever he chooses.
