(Culture) No, No, NO!

From the time we are children, we become accustomed to hearing the word, No. No, you aren allowed to play in dirt. No, you can stay up watching TV. No, you can have dessert first. As we get older, the Nos turn more towards the way we speak, act, and dress, especially when we e teenagers.

But now, have the Nos gotten out of hand? Schools in several states in America have made rules banning jeans that are either too loose or too tight (called baggy or form-fitting).Plenty of schools have banned colorful hair, nail polish, and makeup. One school in the US said No to students bringing lunches from home, while schools in France say No to allowing ketchup in the school cafeteria.

The Nos have even started encroaching into the adult world. Some hospitals said No to photos in the delivery room.France said Muslim women couldn wear their burqas (and over 60 were arrested for expressing their religious freedom this way.) American teachers are supposed to refrain from becoming Facebook friends with their students. Its illegal to buy fur in Los Angeles. And if you e a parent with a newborn? Oh, my.You just can take your baby anywhere. Not Malaysia Airlines, not movie theaters or nice restaurants, not even gourmet grocery stores!

Has No gone too far?
